This summer, I had the opportunity to tutor more than I was able to last school year and I was very grateful to get to know more about our students. During this time, I learned of the challenges they face based on a number of issues stemming from poverty, homelessness, drug abuse, or other major barriers.

It is for this reason, I decided to set up a Gofundme.com page in order to provide some of our stellar students with a little gift, depending on their needs. It could be food, clothing, something for school or college as they transition from their respective programs, or something of interest.

At the end of each month, our tutors will nominate and vote for a student they feel is deserving of special recognition because of their determination or ability to persevere through their hardships.

Please contribute what you can; 100% of donations will go directly to our students.
